Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)

  • Psychosocial rehabilitation services are intended to restore a recipient’s skills and abilities essential for independent living. Psychosocial rehabilitation utilizes intervention such as learning coping skills to address stressful environment and developing resources that reduce future stressors, so PSR helps people develop the social, emotional and intellectual skills they need in order to live independently and happily with minimal professional assistance. Our members experience activities such as: development and maintenance of necessary daily living skills; food planning and preparation, budgeting, social support, housing, job coaching, educational aide, maintenance of living environment; and training in appropriate use of community services. These services also encourage daily medication use, independent living and social skills training, housing services, prevocational and transitional employment rehabilitation training, social support, and network enhancement to recipients and their families.
  • PSR is Monday Through Friday with a minimum of two hours of group sessions daily. Our PSR program is facilitated by compassionate, highly skilled and trained team members.
